The Angola Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015 needed a design that reflected the theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” while standing out among dozens of international showcases. The challenge was to create an architectural identity that was visually striking, culturally meaningful and capable of supporting an expected high visitor flow.
By integrating custom Lalace elements, the pavilion gained a distinctive visual language rooted in Angolan culture and storytelling. The woven metal patterns added depth and texture to the façade, creating a memorable experience while supporting durability and functionality in an intensive exhibition environment.
The result was a celebrated pavilion that attracted over 2 million visitors and earned five major awards, including Best Pavilion. The Lalace installations contributed to a strong architectural identity, helping position the pavilion as one of the most impactful and admired highlights of Expo Milano 2015.
